About

Dr. Nelson

Dr. Nelson obtained his degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois and worked as a software development consultant before realizing his true calling was healthcare—specifically dentistry. He found his calling when he had dental work done and realized how a simple thing like smiling can change a person’s well- being. He never smiled because he was embarrassed by his teeth but was afraid of the pain associated with dental procedures. One day he decided he was sick of hiding his teeth with a closed-lip smile. Luckily, a family friend was a top cosmetic dentist in Chicago. “ The experience changed my life,” Dr. Nelson said. “I started talking to him about engineering and discovered dentistry was very similar. He encouraged me to go back to school and become a dentist.”

Dr. Nelson found dentistry to be the perfect career for his combined passions: technology, medicine and design. While engineering and dentistry might seem to be vastly different fields, Dr. Nelson said his first career stands as a foundation for his current profession.“A lot of dentistry is based on structural soundness,” he said. “When performing full mouth restorations in one day, it’s imperative that it’s done right the first time. Bad dental work is like building a house on a faulty foundation. The small cracks turn into uncontrollable instability, which will cost much more to fix in the end.”

Dr. Nelson’s patients receive care from one of the top dentists in the nation along with access to some of the top dental laboratories in the country. And his beautifully appointed office is conveniently located just off Dallas North Tollway, near Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano and fine retail shopping. You might expect to pay astronomical fees for his services, but you would be wrong. Dr. Nelson’s prices are in line with general dentist’s offices in the area, and he works diligently to help patients maximize their insurance benefits.

Because state-of-the-art technology and quality materials are imperative for excellent dental services, Couture Dentistry employs:

  •  metal-free crowns for more bio-compatibility and greater esthetics
  • veneers and crowns produced by the countr y’s top dental laboratories to create unparalleled beauty

Dr. Naz

Since her Montessori days, Dr. Naz always had a passion for art and life sciences. While at the University of Texas at Austin, she shadowed various dentists. She quickly realized that dentistry was the perfect combination of her passions. At the same time, dentistry allowed for rehabilitation of both oral health and patient self confidence. This invaluable potential for impact was what led her to attend dental school here in Dallas at Texas A&M College of Dentistry (formerly known as Baylor College of Dentistry).

Dr. Naz is a restorative cosmetic dentist dedicated to dental excellence. With knowledge from over 300 hours of continuing education after dental school, she is able to implement high quality comprehensive care. She has additional training in Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, dental photography, digital dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, and sedation. She travels at least once a quarter across the country to learn about the latest technologies, materials, and techniques to provide only the best for her patients. Currently she is working towards certification with the Kois Center, a prestigious dental residency program specializing in comprehensive care.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Naz enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and golden retriever Skittles. She is of Puerto Rican and Pakistani descent, which has contributed to her love for cooking and traveling. She is thrilled to be a part of Couture Dentistry to help provide high quality care for her community.
